See what’s cooking at the ballpark on August 9, 2014 as pitmasters and restaurants fire up their grills for the 13th annual Stephen Starr-Garry Maddox Barbecue Challenge.
Admission to the Barbecue Challenge is free, and we are open to the public from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., before the Phillies take on the Mets at 7:05. (Tickets to the Phillies game can be purchased at www.phillies.com or at ticket windows at the ballpark.)
The Barbecue Challenge is located on Citizens Bank Way, between the left field and third base gates on the west side of the ballpark. You don’t want to miss Garry Maddox, cooking with the team from Hatfield Quality Meats, Greg Luzinski, who will be out there with Bull’s BBQ, or our lineup of great restaurants serving samples of finger-licking food to help raise funds for Garry’s charity, Compete 360. Oh, and did we mention the delicious ice cream our friends from Turkey Hill Dairy will be bringing? Mmmmmm….
Sampling tickets will be available for purchase from ticket booths along Citizens Bank Way on August 9. Tickets are $5.00 each, or three for $10.00. Tickets cannot be pre-purchased.
